Corporate housing for consulting and professional services
Monday-to-Thursday teams downtown, walkable to the client, extended phase by phase.
What the work needs from the housing
- Walkable to the client
- The apartment is picked from the client’s address outward. Ten minutes on foot beats twenty in a taxi every Monday morning.
- Quiet desk and fast Wi-Fi
- A separate place to take calls after the client site closes, with the connection speed stated per unit.
- Extension by phase
- Engagements extend in phases, so the housing does too — by email, on the terms agreed up front.
- One invoice per engagement code
- Billing mapped to the engagement so recovery against the client is clean.
- Weekend flexibility
- Four-night patterns and full-week stays priced sensibly, whichever the team actually runs.
Why apartments, not hotels.
Living space
One room. Bed, desk, bathroom.
A whole apartment: separate bedroom, living room, kitchen, usually a washer and dryer.
Cost over a month or more
A nightly rate on every night, plus lodging tax, parking and meals out.
A monthly rate, usually lower per night, with utilities and Wi-Fi in and occupancy tax reduced or exempt in many jurisdictions.
Keeping the team together
Rooms spread across whichever floors are free that night.
The team in one building near the client, arriving together on Monday and walking to the site together.
Privacy
Sleeping, working and taking calls in the same room.
A bedroom with a door and a quiet room to work late — client calls don’t happen sitting on a hotel bed.
Length of stay
By the night, re-booked as the project runs on.
From a couple of weeks to a year or longer, with extension and early-exit terms agreed up front.
Paperwork
A folio per room per stay for finance to reconcile.
One contract and one monthly invoice for the whole requirement, itemised by unit.
